We are not just a producer of social capital, but we also understand our responsibility to give back to the community and society in general. To do so, we will leverage our knowhow and network for the benefit of those who aim to revitalize regional areas and to develop the next generation of leaders.
Educational Travel and Exchange
We specialize in the development and execution of interactive educational travel programs. These creatively structured experiential programs offer in-depth insight into many current issues faced by regional and rural communities in Japan, including environmental and historical restoration, providing youth with a well-rounded and meaningful education, as well as promoting international understanding and peace
Lecturing & Educational Consulting
Through our cutting edge programs we have built up unique knowhow and a top level domestic and international human resource network. We have the ability to utilize this network to create and implement education and regional development plans throughout Japan and the world.
Cross World Experts Program
This program invites outstanding undergraduate and graduate students from around the world who are pursuing unique opportunities to learn about international education and training, environmental science, communications, and non-profit management in English and/or Japanese.
As Cross-World Experts, these outstanding students find their places in the team in a variety of roles which help them gain confidence and on-the-ground experience and exposure to many of the fields listed above. Over a period of a few months, or even a few years, the students gain first hand knowhow and a diverse skill set which will maximize their potential and become leaders in their fields of interest.
APPLICATIONS FOR THE CROSS-WORLD EXPERTS PROGRAM DUE NOVEMBER 10, 2008. For more information, contact us at info@nagasaki-islands.org
Cross World Village
Rural areas of Japan have an amazing inventory of architecturally and historically important structures and homes which are underutilized or even abandoned by their owners. We hope to invest in these resources as a stage for exchange of knowledge, ideas and expertise.
Additionally these historic jewels of rural Japan will provide a base for the Cross-World Experts program and other professional development programs. The graduates of these programs will become agents of change by taking on the role and responsibility for revitalizing the region they know so well. They will accomplish this through close cooperation with local associations, organizations and outstanding individuals.
The Future
We are always looking for new projects which we can create and implement, and are always happy to consider partnerships with other organizations to maximize the impact, scope, and chance of success of any project.
